Mary Budden Estate
A restored colonial estate turned wildlife haunt
Located in a cozy corner of the Kumaon, in the mid Himalayan Range, Mary Budden Estate has been lovingly restored from its former colonial avatar for comfortable and elegant living. It still retains its original charm and allows a sanctuary of peace and tranquillity. With the Binsar Sanctuary a short distance away, the Mary Budden Estate in the Kumaon Himalayas offers a perfect vantage point for sweeping mountain-rimmed vistas and incredible biodiversity. Look out for the Himalayan goral – a high-altitude sheep, the elusive pine martens, the red giant flying squirrel, over 200 birds and numerous reptiles and butterflies.
