Mandu
A town peppered with UNESCO heritage structures & African baobabs
Peppered with UNESCO heritage structures and African baobab trees, Mandu was once known as the ‘City of Joy’ (an epithet later given to the city of Kolkata by the author Dominique Lapierre, in his novel of the same name!). The ruins of the Rajput kingdom and the Mughal Empire upon a plateau of forests, lakes and ravines, were all built over generations of rulers and empires, and bear their unmistakable characteristics for the discerning.
