Arrival in Bengaluru- the Garden City of India.

Begin your day with the Hogona Art Walk in Malleshwaram - a neighbourhood where Bengaluru’s past and present share the same walls. Start with breakfast and filter coffee before walking through lanes alive with murals painted by local women artists. Each artwork tells a story of the city, its resilience, and its rhythm. Along the way, stop by the flower market, Nandi Theertha Temple, and the old Dhobi Ghat, where daily life unfolds like quiet theatre. Mysore

Day: 3-4

Drive from Bengaluru to Mysore. Once the royal seat of the Wodeyars, Mysore wears its grandeur quietly - in its palaces, tree-lined boulevards, and the faint scent of sandalwood that still drifts through its markets. Stop at the Mysore Palace, where every arch and mosaic tells a story of kings, architects, and artisans who dreamed in marble and gold. Walk through the heart of the city, past crumbling colonial facades and the century-old Devaraja Market, where spices, flowers, and silks spill into the streets in a riot of color. Each corner hums with the grace of an older India - dignified, fragrant, and alive.

Spend the day tracing Mysore’s royal rhythm - from its gilded palace halls to its temple-crowned hills. Begin at the Maharajah’s Palace, where domes and arches recall the grandeur of the Wodeyar kings. Drive up Chamundi Hill to the temple and its granite Nandi, gazing out across the city’s tiled sprawl. Return to earth at the Devaraja Market, alive with flowers, spices, and sandalwood. Later, step into the workshops of silk weavers and stone carvers - artisans whose hands still carry the memory of Mysore’s royal craft.

Nagarhole

Day: 5-7

Leave the royal calm of Mysore behind and drive toward Kabini, where forest and water meet in quiet harmony. Once a hunting ground for the Maharajas, Kabini today is a sanctuary where wilderness has reclaimed its throne. Running through the Nagarhole forests, the Kabini River is the wild’s lifeline - an artery where life gathers and renews. In the afternoon, take a tranquil boat safari with a naturalist, gliding along the riverbanks to watch elephants, deer, and birds that come to drink, feed, and linger by the water’s edge.

Join your naturalist for morning and afternoon safaris through this living landscape, where each turn of the trail brings something new - a rustle in the bamboo, a call from the canopy, a ripple by the riverbank. Here, the wild unfolds at its own rhythm, unhurried and untamed, reminding you how nature was meant to be.

Drift quietly over the Kabini waters in a traditional coracle - a small, round boat once made of reeds and hide, now patched with modern materials but still holding the soul of the river. Guided by an expert oarsman, you glide, spin, and sway with the current, seeing the forest from a new rhythm - slow, circular, reflective. What feels simple soon becomes meditative, as every turn of the paddle echoes the ancient harmony between river and life along its banks.

Coorg

Day: 8-9

Drive through Karnataka’s lush countryside to Coorg, where forests give way to coffee and spice plantations. En route, stop at Bylakuppe, home to Namdroling Monastery - a serene Tibetan enclave where chants echo beneath fluttering prayer flags.

Spend your day tracing the many moods of Coorg. Walk through emerald coffee estates and listen to stories of how the first beans were smuggled into India, transforming these hills into the country’s coffee heartland. Join an expert naturalist for an early birdwatching walk - Coorg’s forests are alive with song, colour, and quiet wonder. Later, visit a traditional Kodava home to share a meal and learn about the clan’s unique customs and cuisine, a warm glimpse into Coorg’s enduring hospitality. If time allows, drive to Talacauvery, the sacred birthplace of the River Cauvery, where mist drifts over temple shrines and the Western Ghats stretch like a painting. Nearby, the Omkareshwara Temple stands serene, blending Hindu and Islamic architectural styles - a fitting reminder of how seamlessly faith and nature intertwine in these hills.
