Nagarkot
Watch the sunset blush over Himalayan peaks
Best known for its panoramic views of the Himalayas, Nagarkot is a short drive away from Kathmandu. The town has played many roles: from a strategic headquarters to monitor other kingdoms, to a royal family’s summer retreat, to a present-day hillstation. Today, tourists flock here to see the sunset blush over the Annapurna, Manaslu and Langtang range among others, and to visit the Nagarkot fort.
