Nepal's refuge for the one-horned rhino

Chitwan, a name encompassing a district, a valley, and a national park is Nepal’s best wildlife attraction, with a good population of the one-horned rhino. The forests and grasslands of Chitwan National Park were once feudal hunting grounds that later faced threats of poaching and human settlements. Today, the park has been able to restore some of its wild populations of rhinos, vultures, and gharials and is a haven for biodiversity.
