A combination of the French flavour & old style Tamil architecture
The highlight of any visit to Pondicherry is surely the French experience – and we recommend the 19th Century manor-styled La Villa hotel. It combines the colonial French flavour with the old Tamil style of architecture to offer the best of both, with a mixed cuisine to match. The architects Tina Trigala and Yves Lesprit, extended La Villa’s colonial facades, to create an interplay with the horizons of white walls. The spacious and cool rooms are furnished with rich fabrics and contemporary designs made from old wood. A custom- made swimming pool borders the shady, lush garden.
