Wander through charming fruit orchards fringing the Indus river

A village to the northwest of Ladakh’s capital, Nimo or Nimmoo has a large military encampment. With the Indus to its south, Nimo is the venue for an all-India rafting expedition, and its fertile lands are lined with fruit orchards. Apricot, apple and walnut groves add colour and life to an otherwise stark landscape – especially during the flowering season!
